How to choose a lower-priced logistics channel to place an order

Lingxing WMS provides three logistics channel price comparison methods to help sellers save the cost of last-mile logistics

Prerequisite for use: OMS customers/sellers have configured the quotation plan and the logistics fees for each available logistics channel.

Method 1: Automatic price comparison and order placement

Usage scenario: The system supports automatic selection of the channel with the lowest price for documents. For example, if an overseas warehouse opens multiple logistics channels to OMS customers, when OMS sellers place orders, they need to manually calculate the cost of each channel and select a cheap one to place an order, which is time-consuming and laborious. Now Lingxing OMS supports automatic price comparison and order placement, helping sellers automatically select a channel with the lowest price to obtain shipping documents, helping sellers save money and improving their user experience.

1. Operation path: OMP-System Settings-Global Settings, check and enable [Automatically select the channel with the lowest price when a customer places an order]

2. After checking, OMS customers can select [Automatically select the channel with the lowest price] in the [Logistics Channel] drop-down box of [Platform Order Rules], [Platform Order – Allocate Warehouse Logistics], [Import/Create/Edit Drop Shipment Order] and other entrances.

After selecting and submitting, the system will automatically batch calculate the logistics costs of each available channel for the document, and select the channel with the lowest receivable price as the actual logistics channel to obtain the delivery note.

Method 2: Freight Calculation

Usage scenario: If the seller wants to know the freight price of the service provider, the seller can calculate the logistics cost of the package in the upper right corner of OMS – Freight Calculation

Method 3: Freight calculation in the document

Usage scenario: If the seller already has an order and wants to calculate which channel has the cheapest shipping cost for this order, this function can be used to estimate the shipping cost.

Operation path:

  1. OMS- Drop Shipping Order-Create/Edit. After filling in the recipient information and product information, you can click [Freight Calculation]. After clicking, the system will automatically calculate the cost of each available logistics channel. After clicking to select, it can be applied to the current document.
