How to create a product manually
Please note:
- Once a product SKU is created, it cannot be changed again. Except for [Hazardous Goods], all its bound contents can be modified.
- SKU is case-sensitive. Different uppercase and lowercase letters will be recognized as different products by the system.
- The [Product Category] list fields are edited in OMP-[Product Management]-[Category Management];
- [Product Information] is for reference only. Subsequent billing will be based on the new product maintenance data (WMS size and weight) filled in by the WMS warehouse.
- [Product Barcode] If the product itself does not have a barcode (EAN/UPC), you can fill it in the same as the SKU;
- [Other barcodes] Other barcodes that may be used. Subsequent scanning of the barcode can be associated with the bound SKU information. Product barcodes generated by customers themselves or used by other warehouses can be filled in this field.
- For Amazon store products, it is recommended to fill in the Amazon-specific FNSKU in advance to facilitate the subsequent return reception management (if it is not filled in when creating a new product, it can also be bound when creating a document later. The same FNSKU can only be bound to one SKU);
- If you need to ship internationally, you must fill in the information required for customs declaration in [Declaration Information].
- Recommended packaging materials can be bound in [Packaging Material Information]. After binding, they will be displayed on the page where the binding is actually performed on the WMS side, serving as an information prompt.
Frequently asked questions
Q1: When creating a new product, it prompts "SKU has been used", but the customer has not created a SKU with the same name?
A1: If the customer has previously created a product that uses a product barcode/other barcode/FNSKU with the same name as the SKU, it will also prompt [SKU has been used]. You can search for the SKU by pressing [Product Barcode]/[Other Barcode]/[FNSKU] to confirm whether it already exists in the system.
Q2: The sku is filled in incorrectly and needs to be modified. The system cannot delete it, but the reconstruction shows that the barcode has been used. What should I do?
A2: Approved SKUs cannot be deleted after being discarded. All product information except SKU and dangerous goods type can be modified. ① If the SKU and dangerous goods type filled in by the customer are correct, and only other information such as barcode or product name needs to be modified, you can select [Restore] and continue editing. If it is in [Draft] status after restoration, please remember to submit again; ② If the SKU filled in by the customer is incorrect, but the rest of the information is correct, please restore the old SKU and [Edit] it first, delete all the barcode information and then discard it, and then create a new SKU.
Q3: Can the created SKU be discarded?
A3: The generated business flow (including inventory initialization import) cannot be discarded.
Q4: When adding products to a new incoming order, the created SKU cannot be found.
A4: Please confirm whether the created SKU is in the Reviewed status on the Product interface. SKUs in the Draft status need to be submitted for review.
Q5: When adding products to a new delivery order, the created SKU cannot be found.
A5: Creating an outbound delivery order only supports SKUs whose inventory is not 0. Please confirm whether the SKU is already in stock in the warehouse.
Q6: The created SKU remains in [under review] after submission.
A6: Please contact the overseas warehouse service provider to complete the product review in OMP.
Q7: How to create SKU for combined products?
A7: New products do not currently support the creation of combination products. For example, your combination product C consists of product a and product b. If your combination product C is already packaged together when it is sent to the overseas warehouse, there is no need for the overseas warehouse staff to separate it. You can directly create a separate SKU for combination product C; if you package it separately according to product a and product b when sending it to the overseas warehouse, and the overseas warehouse staff will pack it for shipment, you need to create SKUs for product a and product b separately. (If you have authorized other e-commerce platforms in OMS, product mapping supports combination products. For details, please refer to how to perform product mapping of platform SKUs )
