1. Access scope and data handling
NIWO Genius requests only com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting. It performs read-only QuickBooks operations using query and change-data-capture (cdc) requests; it never creates, updates, voids, or deletes a QuickBooks record.
| Record types read | Bill, Purchase, PurchaseOrder, VendorCredit, Payment, BillPayment, Deposit, Invoice, CreditMemo, Vendor, Customer, Account, Item, Class, and Department. |
|---|---|
| Not requested | Payroll, Payments processing, and Lending scopes are not requested or used. |
| Purpose | Internal reconciliation of carrier and vendor invoices, cost allocation analysis, and internal management reporting. |
For privacy, retention, and disclosure details, see the Privacy Policy. License limitations are described in the End-User License Agreement.
2. Connect or reconnect
Authorization is performed only by an authorized NIWO administrator through Intuit’s standard OAuth 2.0 flow. A reconnect is needed only when access was deliberately disconnected or a refresh token has expired after prolonged inactivity.
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an administrator of the NIWO Partners, Inc. company file.
- Start the NIWO Genius authorization flow and select the NIWO Partners, Inc. company when prompted.
- Review the requested permission: accounting data with read-only access, then approve.
- NIWO stores the resulting credentials on access-restricted NIWO-controlled systems; credentials are never committed to source control.
3. Disconnect
Access can be revoked at any time. Once revocation takes effect, NIWO Genius no longer has authority to retrieve additional data from that company file.
- In QuickBooks Online, open Apps and select My Apps.
- Locate NIWO Genius.
- Open the action menu, choose Disconnect, and confirm the action.
Connection access may also be revoked through the Intuit account’s connected-app settings. For requests concerning data already retrieved through the integration, contact legal@usniwo.com.
4. Credentials and security
OAuth client secrets and refresh tokens are access-restricted, handled under applicable OAuth requirements, and never committed to source control. Communications with Intuit endpoints use HTTPS/TLS. Retrieved accounting information is accessible only to authorized NIWO personnel with a business need.
