Privacy Policy

This policy explains how NIWO Partners, Inc. handles data accessed by its privately operated Genius software and its QuickBooks Online integration.

Effective date: September 16, 2026Operator: NIWO Partners, Inc.Contact: legal@usniwo.com

NIWO Genius is a private, internal NIWO software system. This policy applies to its QuickBooks Online integration and is not a consumer-facing privacy notice for third-party QuickBooks companies.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes the handling of data accessed through the Intuit QuickBooks Online API by NIWO Genius (the “Application”), a private software system developed and operated by NIWO Partners, Inc. (“NIWO,” “we,” or “us”) for NIWO’s own accounting and operational use. The Application is not offered, sold, or made available to the general public and does not connect to third-party QuickBooks companies.

2. Data accessed

The Application requests only the com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting scope. For NIWO-controlled QuickBooks Online company files, it may read:

  • Accounts payable and expense records, including bills, purchases, purchase orders, and vendor credits.
  • Payment and settlement records, including payments, bill payments, and deposits.
  • Revenue records, including invoices and credit memos.
  • Relevant master data, including vendors, customers, accounts, items, classes, and departments.

The Application does not request payroll, payment-processing, or lending scopes, and is not designed to access employee compensation records or payment-card data.

3. Use of data

Accessed data is used solely for NIWO’s internal finance and operations activities, including reconciling carrier and vendor invoices, reviewing revenue and cost allocation, assessing accounts-receivable health, and preparing internal management reporting. NIWO does not use this data for advertising, marketing, resale, third-party profiling, or machine-learning model training.

4. Read-only access

The Application performs read operations only. It uses QuickBooks query and change-data-capture (cdc) requests and is not designed to create, update, void, or delete QuickBooks Online records.

5. Connect or reconnect

Authorization is performed only by an authorized NIWO administrator through Intuit’s standard OAuth 2.0 flow. A connection is re-established only after deliberate disconnection or refresh-token expiration.

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an administrator of the NIWO Partners, Inc. company file.
  2. Start the NIWO Genius authorization flow and select the NIWO Partners, Inc. company.
  3. Review the accounting-data, read-only permission and approve it.
  4. Credentials are retained only on access-restricted NIWO-controlled systems and are never committed to source control.

Additional integration details are available at NIWO Genius Integration Information.

6. Storage and security

Retrieved information is stored on computing systems controlled by NIWO and is limited to authorized finance and technology personnel with a business need to access it. OAuth client secrets and refresh tokens are access-restricted, are not committed to source control, and are handled in accordance with applicable OAuth requirements. Communications with Intuit endpoints use HTTPS/TLS.

7. Disclosure to third parties

NIWO does not sell, rent, or trade data obtained through this integration. NIWO may disclose information only where required by law or binding legal process, or to NIWO’s accountants, auditors, and professional advisers who are subject to confidentiality obligations.

8. Retention and deletion

NIWO retains retrieved accounting information only for as long as reasonably necessary for reconciliation, financial reporting, and applicable statutory record-keeping obligations. Subject to those obligations, requests regarding deletion of data retrieved through this integration may be sent to the contact below.

9. Disconnecting

Access may be revoked at any time using the following QuickBooks Online steps:

  1. Open Apps and select My Apps.
  2. Locate NIWO Genius.
  3. Open the action menu, choose Disconnect, and confirm.

Access may also be revoked through Intuit’s connected-app settings. After revocation, the Application no longer has authority to retrieve additional data from that company file. See NIWO Genius Integration Information for the same three-step process.

10. Changes to this policy

Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
